'Ansaar Organisation was formed by a group of volunteers who felt that important issues on grounds of social, health, education and recreation were not being promoted to its full potential. Through partnership with statutory and non-statutory organisations set about creating and promoting different opportunities available to them within the area to engage and empower them and feel part of the community.  Ansaar Organisation focuses its efforts on working with the large Muslim Community in these areas but their services are open to all. Working closely with mosques, schools, churches, community groups and centres they have successfully enjoyed participation from over 1000 people at their now Annual Fun and Sports Day Events each year.'

Pre Magrib Tea and Cakes gathering

Who: Camberley Mosque

What Do They Do: A simple weekly get together, 30 mins before prayer time. It is open to everyone, to have a chat, make friends and enjoy a spot of tea and scones etc

Benefit: People who maybe isolated and lonely or just people bored can feel part of the neighbourhood.

Besides the social aspect, one example is of an 80 year old man who came to the tea gathering who later enquired if someone could teach him how to pray. In all his 80 years he had not learned this, and was very appreciative for someone to take time out to teach him.

2 towns, many Mosques. All Salaah Jamaat times unified on one sheet

What Do They Do: Each mosque has its own Salaah timetable. One brother/sister collects these at the beginning of the month. Creates a unified timetable for only the jamaat times for the 5 daily prayers at each of the mosques in the local area (2/3 mile radius). This is then distributed to all the local mosques within 2/3 days.

Benefits: To pray Salaah (prayer) in jamaat (congregation) at the mosque is 25/27 times more virtuous than praying individually. If you miss the pray at your local mosque due to work or family commitments you are able to arrange to head to another local mosque.

It becomes customary to keep this in the car and one at the home. Salaah is much more easier to catch with Jamaat.
